WEDDINGS

350 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Established nearly 1,000 years ago, our history is rich and unlike any other. Steeped with tradition and elegance, Norwood Park is one of a kind.

The first weddings held at Norwood Park were in Saxon times beneath our centuries-old Oak Trees that range across our vast grounds. Since the 1970s, our weddings have moved into the house and onto the lawn.

For nearly 150 years, Norwood Park has remained a private home in which the Starkey Family continues to reside when it is not in use by guests. Just as we care for the family when they are home with us, we also care for our guests as individuals and valued friends.

EXCLUSIVELY YOURS

Unlike many venues, when you book Norwood Park – the House, the Grounds and the Gallery are yours exclusively from 12 noon until 12 midnight. Apart from you and your guests, the only other people on site will be your Event Manager and our staff.

This offers our couples and their guests the extraordinary opportunity to stay and celebrate in this memorable, eccentric Country House in complete privacy.

Choose Norwood Park as your venue and together we will create the wedding occasion you have always dreamed of.

FOOD & DRINK

Eating and Drinking are a passion for the Kitchen and Bar Teams here at Norwood Park. Together we can create a menu that will exceed expectations.

BLACK BOOK

Our hand-picked experienced suppliers have worked along Norwood Park for many years and will ensure they bring your wedding vision to life!

THE HOUSE & GARDENS

When you book your Wedding with Norwood Park, you have total exclusivity of the House meaning you can celebrate in complete privacy.

WEDDING CEREMONY

Indoors and outdoors?  The choice is yours! Norwood Park is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies in three stunning areas.

The Drawing Room seats up to 75 guests, the Gallery seats up to 120 guests, whilst the outside Gazebo offers standing and seating for up to 150 guests.

Or if you are looking for a traditional wedding ceremony, look no further than the Southwell Minster or Starkey Family church, St Michaels in Halam.

WEDDING DRINKS

RECEPTION

Norwood Park has maintained an enviable wine cellar for more than one hundred years with a range of bottles from across Europe.  Guests can enjoy these wines together with younger vintages, champagnes, spirits, whiskeys, brandies, beers, ales and non-alcoholic drinks.

WEDDING PHOTOS

After your wedding day here at Norwood Park has passed, the photos and videos taken on the day will capture your precious moments forever.

Today, together with your Wedding Photographer, you can wander through the House, Grounds, and Gardens to discover the perfect spots for your wedding photos.  These might include the lake, Grecian Temple, Bandstand, barns, Cricket Pavilion, Bramley Bar, Orangery, Arches and so much more.

WEDDING BREAKFAST

Here at Norwood Park, we recognise that every Wedding Reception is unique and we offer you the flexibility and support to match your vision.

For couples seeking a more intimate Wedding, you may choose to have your Wedding Breakfast in the Morning Room seating twenty guests or the Dining Room seating forty guests.

Alternatively, you may choose to hold your reception in the Gallery where we can seat up to 150 guests for those larger affairs.

WEDDING PARTY

Once the vows are spoken, speeches delivered, dining done and formal photos complete, it’s time to party with your family and guests.

The Gallery at Norwood Park is an ideal and spacious venue to celebrate in style with up to 200 guests.  With ample room for bands, a large dance floor, a full bar, and an outside courtyard for relaxing (cooling off), Norwood Park has all the facilities you need for a unique and memorable Wedding Party.

AFTER DARK

While the Gallery closes upon the stroke of midnight, the Main House opens its doors to you and your overnight guests to privately party well past the witching hour.

Here, in the Main House, guests may retire to the Bramley Bar, relax in the Arches or enjoy a post-prandial beverage in the Morning Room.

The Bramley Bar and Arches share a moody vibe reminiscent of a London private member’s club, while the Morning Room features original interiors and furnishings from the Georgian period.
