We believe the world is in our hands. We work hard to be sustainable and our ambition is to be at least carbon neutral.
We have invested in a biomass boiler that heats the House and we aim to reduce our impact on the environment, stimulate the local economy, and support local community through all our activities. If the town of Southwell and the county of Nottinghamshire do not thrive then neither do we.
We are committed to supporting local suppliers & businesses and employing local people.
Norwood Park was first mentioned in the inquisition of Archbishop Neville’s property in 1388 and has seen many owners throughout the years. Norwood Park has remained privately owned since the 1770’s and has enjoyed the residence of many families including the Marquis of Carmarthen, Lord Edwin Hill, and presently, the Starkey Family.
The Starkey family has resided at Norwood Park since the 1880s when they purchased the property. The family continues to run the estate today with a public golf course, fruit farms, and successful juicing company too. On any given day you may be fortunate to come across Sir John Starkey or his children Suzannah, and Henry working on the estate.
